When it comes to despicable acts of political chicanery, the gold medalist of the last decade running has certainly been CNN.
Dubbed the “worldwide leader in Fake News” by a vast majority of Americans, including President Trump, CNN has long been unafraid of revealing their liberal bias to the world. Worse yet, their lengthy presence in the cable news arena has afforded them a vast financial data set that clearly shapes a number of decisions made at the network, ignoring journalistic responsibility in lieu of juicy ratings.
This has never been clearer on the network, whose coverage of breaking events is more akin to the cliffhangers of a cut rate television drama than a “news” station.
In order to keep viewers, and therefore advertisers interested, CNN must constantly push the envelope in terms of salaciousness and tawdry tabloid teases. Furthermore, the network must bow down to their leftists overlords at all times – meaning that this week has been a full on assault against the Second Amendment.
During this time of grief, thanks to the Parkland, Florida school shooting, CNN saw a golden opportunity to exploit the pain and suffering of those affected by holding an all-too-soon Town Hall event in which students would have an opportunity to engage leaders such as Senator Mark Rubio and NRA Spokeswoman Dana Loesch.
And, just in case there was any question regarding CNN’s intentions, students involved in the meeting have complained of “scripting” by the network in order to push the liberal narrative on gun control.
After CNN pushed back, bullying a Parkland survivor by claiming he “doctored” emails to make CNN look bad, another of those affected by the tragedy has come forward to tell his own tale of CNN’s coercion in the face of catastrophe.
“Andrew Klein, father of Stoneman Douglas High School junior Ariana Klein, claims CNN producers were fishing for families to ‘espouse a certain narrative’ at the network’s recent town hall on ‘gun policy.’
“Klein told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham it seemed CNN officials exploited the victims of the recent school shooting in Parkland, Florida to press a decidedly anti-gun agenda, substantiating allegations by others the network staked its recent town hall with gun-control advocates and ignored other opinions.”
He went on:
“’I actually spoke to a CNN producer on Thursday, the day after the shooting, and the producer insinuated to me that they were looking for people who were willing to espouse a certain narrative, which was taking a tragedy and turning it into a policy debate. And I read that as being a gun control debate.’”
Again, we see the leftist media completely eschewing decency and decorum in order to score points with the democratic party who keeps them afloat.
