According to Donald Trump, a vote for Hillary Clinton is a vote for World War III.
If you want World War III, then Hillary Clinton is your candidate. Donald Trump told Reuters that in an exclusive interview.
Clinton has called for the establishment of a no-fly zone and “safe zones” on the ground to protect non-combatants. Some analysts fear that protecting those zones could bring the United States into direct conflict with Russian fighter jets.
“What we should do is focus on ISIS. We should not be focusing on Syria,” said Trump as he dined on fried eggs and sausage at his Trump National Doral golf resort. “You’re going to end up in World War Three over Syria if we listen to Hillary Clinton.
“You’re not fighting Syria any more, you’re fighting Syria, Russia and Iran, all right? Russia is a nuclear country, but a country where the nukes work as opposed to other countries that talk,” he said.
What is left as subtext in the story is that Donald Trump is also criticizing the Republican establishment and explaining why they are helping Clinton win. That fact peeked through when Trump mentioned that, if Republicans were unified, Clinton would have less of a chance of winning. Indeed, the Hillary campaign pointed to the Republican traitors who declared Trump “unfit” to be commander-in-chief.
But Hillary Clinton is a danger to the world.
Justin Raimondo summarizes Hillary Clinton’s evolution to a warmonger:
While at Yale Law School, young Hillary chaired a meeting that called for a nationwide student strike against the Vietnam war. She became an acolyte of Saul Alinsky, the radical leftist strategist who advocated “social revolution,” as she put it in her senior thesis on his views.
To come out of that background and aspire to the presidency, Hillary had to “evolve” – and nowhere is this transformation more apparent than in the realm of foreign policy. Like many on the ostensible “left,” she was quite willing to make a deal with the interventionist Devil if it meant having a free rein in domestic affairs. Leaving her Vietnam era views far behind, she hectored Bill Clinton into bombing Serbia and launching the US intervention in the Balkans. She backed in full Bill’s sponsorship of the “Iraq Liberation Act,” which set the wheels of the US invasion of that unfortunate country in motion. From there it was a simple matter to vote for the Iraq war while in the Senate – and to defend her position against Barack Obama during the 2008 Democratic primaries.
As Secretary of State, she represented the interventionist wing of the administration, leading the charge to overthrow Moammar Qaddafi, coming up with a scheme to arm Syrian rebels, and – in spite of the “reset” with Russia – more recently comparing Vladimir Putin to Adolf Hitler.
In short, the closer Mrs. Clinton gets to the Oval Office, the more hawkish are her public pronouncements.
World War III would be a disaster for everyone. Starting World War III over defending terrorists in Syria would be stupid and evil. Yet the entire establishment is pushing for it.
