One of the pivotal moments of our President’s still-young first term has been the dismissal of James Comey, former Director over at the much embattled Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Normally, Americans give the FBI a fairly wide berth in terms of looking the other way. We simply understand that there are instances in which our nation must play dirty in order to keep us safe, and the FBI is one of the most talented filth-mongers on the planet. They aren’t afraid to put on the waders and slither around in the muck with the rest of the globe’s bad actors when necessary.
Now, with the FBI faltering, We The People aren’t taking this lapse of security lightly.
While the Nation was asking FBI how they failed to prevent the Parkland shooting even though they were warned about Nikolas Cruz, @tedlieu was asking FBI to investigate a 1980s tabloid story. #Priorities#MAGA #Trump #KAG2020 #ThursdayThoughts #NationalEnquire https://t.co/YnvEuqxIog

While The #FBI Is Out Chasing Porn Stars In Their Coup to Take Down Trump, Several Witnesses Have Come Forward Claiming “Nikolas Cruz” Was NOT The Only Shooter

The aforementioned James Comey will be getting in on the action as well, pulling a Clinton-esque stunt in writing a book about his time within the Trump White House that, according to leaked passages, is far from flattering of the populist Commander in Chief.
In response to this petulant attempt at character assassination, the GOP has responded with some jabs of their own.
The Republican National Committee launched an aggressive campaign to paint fired FBI Director James Comey as a liar, just days before the airing of his first interview since he was cut loose and shortly before the release next week of his tell-all memoir.
The RNC borrowed a term, coined by then-candidate Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential primaries for “Lyin’ Ted Cruz,” and pegged it to the embattled former chief of the FBI.
The RNC’s new website is www.LyinComey.com, where the GOP plans to fact check Comey’s book and use “rapid response” to highlight any “misstatements” or “contradictions” in it, according to an RNC official.
“James Comey’s publicity tour is a self-serving attempt to make money and rehabilitate his own image,” RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel said. “Comey is a liar and a leaker, and his misconduct led both Republicans and Democrats to call for his firing. If Comey wants the spotlight back on him, we’ll make sure the American people understand why he has no one but himself to blame for his complete lack of credibility.”
And just how serious is the RNC about this endeavor?
The official told Fox News that the RNC has prepared a rapid response team to respond to claims made in Comey’s book, compiled a research team to fact check, and created a “war room” to monitor his appearances.
For the record, Comey missed an incredible in titling his upcoming tome “A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies and Leadership”, when it really reads more like “What Happened, Too: Mowed Down By A Speeding Trump Train on The Road to Greatness”.
