Sure, it is easy to harp on the evils of political correctness. After all, what is PC culture other than a mitigation of free speech? But that doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t be diligent in confronting the dolts who push the envelope.
Unfortunately, the bizarre reactions of the liberal left in the wake of the election of Donald Trump haven’t helped either. There is a certain, non-nuanced, raving hysteria percolating in the progressive circles of America, and it is more frightening than Stephen King’s most well-written passage. (Which may be some of his delusional anti-Trump tweets, if we’re being honest).
Now, a new chapter in the world of political correctness is being written in America, as the radical left had decided, much like a 4 year old, that anything Donald Trump likes is to be hated forever and always.
Here’s the problem, in a photo:
Donald Trump loves America. Which means, in liberal logic, that the radical left has to now hate America. The scariest part is…this nonsensical narrative seems to be working.
A high school principal has accused a rival school of racist behavior during a game between two Orange County teams Friday night — behavior that consisted of chanting “USA! USA!,” wearing patriotic colors, and waving pro-Trump signs. But the other school’s principal is pushing back on the claims.
Aliso Niguel High School’s Wolverines hosted Santa Ana High School’s Saints in a game where the home team’s fans were encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to show patriotism ahead of the upcoming Patriot Day on Sept. 11.
Just after midnight the next day, Santa Ana principal Jeff Bishop posted a lengthy message to Facebook about his school’s 42-21 loss, while accusing Aliso Niguel students of displaying offensive signs and yelling disrespectful chants during the game.
The sign in question read “We Love Red, We Love White, We Love Blue” – clearly an inclusive message that makes no racial judgement when taken in context. The issue here is an overzealous spectator who cropped a photo from the event to show the sign reading only “We Love White”.
Or, as it’s called on CNN, it’s “fake news”.
