Watching the News

I am not writing this poem while I am watching television which I am not really watching while I am viewing it askance.

I am the distraction of a screen which is neither here nor there but wherever it is playing the news.

You will hate me because I am watching Fox.  It is long in the tooth because it bites into the truth and digests the facts.

I think media savvy news should be shut down because it is the spoiled cherry sauce of liberal prejudice lathered on a duck.

I used to be a liberal.  I used to be stupid and thought that sweet ideas would end up in kind results.

Arabs throw gays off buildings.  We tell transgender men they can piss in the ladies’ room.

When might is right how are liberals going to win in a fight?

FDR threw the Japanese into concentration camps.  After 9/11 we warned Americans not be Islamophobic or hurt Muslim’s feelings even though they were far more deadly than the Japs.
