I believe that it is more than fair to say that President Trump does not receive the same sort of respect that previous American Presidents have when it comes to the world’s stage.
Much of this hostility can only be attributed to the liberal “resistance” to the President, and the overall state of affairs in the well-divided United States. You see, the left is raging and waging war against a President who they see simply as the enemy for no other reason than he is not who they voted for. It’s absurd, certainly, but in the realm of rampant political mania, it makes perfect sense.
So when our President, the leader of the free world, stood up to speak in front of the UN General Assembly, you almost expected a bit of “resistance” schtick.

But no one believed that the President would be laughed at.
President Trump was met with awkward laughter from a U.N. General Assembly audience on Tuesday while boasting of successes under his administration, but brushed off the response as he doubled down on an “America First” agenda at the globalist body.
Trump prompted laughter and gasps from the audience when he claimed that “in less than two years, my administration has accomplished more than almost any administration in the history of our country.”
“I didn’t expect that reaction, but that’s OK,” he chuckled in response. But as Trump stood in the symbolic heart of global governance, he espoused an unashamedly nationalist doctrine that underscored his administration’s tensions with the U.N.
“We will never surrender American sovereignty to an unelected, unaccountable global bureaucracy. America is governed by Americans,” he said. “We reject the ideology of globalism, and we embrace the doctrine of patriotism.”
He later added that “America will always choose independence and cooperation over global governance, control and domination.”
All credit goes to the President for his humility in this situation, especially given the incredibly delirious state of affairs within the DOJ and on the fringes of the White House staff itself.
As for the crude move by the General Assembly – it will likely be rallied around in the coming months as the American economy continues to steam ahead, propelling this Trump Train into prosperity station.
