Given the inflammatory nature of the newly radicalized leftists of America, information gatekeepers such as Twitter certainly have their hands full.
Well, at least that’s what one would think. A tool as powerful and enormous as Twitter must remain at the forefront of the technological battle against extremism, and in the case of ISIS and other radical caliphate organizations the platform has responded with a swiftness that frankly impresses the rest of the social media world.
But what about domestic terrorism? Or the radical left that have attempted on several occasions to subvert the Constitution of The United States in order to “resist” a fairly elected President? What has Twitter done to curb the spread of their extremist ideals and threats of violence?
The answer is: Not much.
Twitter has fallen prey to the same progressive advertisers as the mainstream media on television, and are now completely beholden to the liberal ideologies contained within these massively wealthy corporations who simply prop up the social media platform with marketing dollars.
So when an account linked to the failed “Occupy Wall Street” movement began tweeting disgusting and graphic instructions on how to murder and dismember ICE agents, Twitter allowed the filth to persist on their platform for nearly an entire day.
Twitter allowed a tweet from the account of Occupy Wall Street NYC advocating the murder of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents to remain on the platform for over 20 hours, only deleting the tweet after Breitbart News reached out for comment.
The image, entitled “What To Do If You Encounter An ICE Agent” advocated stabbing the agent, and ripping out his “still beating heart.”
The following image is graphic, to say the least:
Twitter removed the tweet after Breitbart News reached out to the company’s press team for comment. A company spokeswoman said it is against the platform’s rules to make “specific threats of violence or wish for the serious physical harm, death, or disease of an individual or group of people.”
Looking at the time-gap between the earliest and latest archives of the tweet reveals that it was allowed to remain on the platform for over 20 hours before the company took it down. The account of Occupy Wall Street NYC does not appear to have been sanctioned and continues to tweet as normal.
This news comes to us within hours of a heinous rant by Peter Fonda on Twitter, suggesting that Barron Trump be “ripped” from the First Lady’s arms and placed in a “cage” with “pedophiles”…an offense that will have the previously celebrated actor visiting with Secret Service agents in the not too distant future.
