Trump’s ‘Celebration of America’ Denigrated By Kneeling Knuckleheads

I suppose that, since this argument is still raging in the dark and democratic corners of the internet, I’m going to have to explain this to y’all:  Kneeling to disrespect the American Flag is an anti-productive protest.

I get it, you’re angry.  And you may have a very solid reason for being as angry as you are.  But disrespecting a symbol of freedom is completely counterintuitive.

In fact, it could be construed as a symbol of defeat…hear me out.

What you’re saying is that you denounce your country over, likely, racial injustice.  You’re turning your back on America because they’ve done people wrong.  You’re telling the world that you no longer believe that this is a nation of achievers, rather, it is a nation of the oppressed, who have no voice and no means of improving their situation.

You’re kneeling because you think that your country deserves no respect.

What you’re forgetting is that your choice to kneel only exists because of that flag.  Try kneeling during the anthem of some totalitarian nation during the World Cup if you’re so convinced that America is your problem.  I feel like the immediate incarceration and/or execution that you’ll experience will change your mind.

Now, even after President Trump put his foot down in the face of the Philadelphia Eagles this, week by uninviting them to the White House and throwing a “Celebration of America” instead, the event was sullied by other misguided fools.

Heck of a stunt, buddy.  The guys at work must be really proud.

Apparently, this wasn’t this man’s last offense of the day.

I don’t know what’s worse…the booing or the insinuation that he’ll never celebrate another Super Bowl win in his lifetime.
