If Trump Wants to Beat Hillary, This Is His Only Choice for Vice President [VIDEO]

According to Bill O’Reilly, GOP presidential contender – and likely presumptive nominee (according to some) – Donald Trump can beat Hillary Clinton in the general election, but only if his Vice President of choice is Susana Martinez, the Governor of New Mexico.

Bill O’Reilly – host of The No Spin Zone on Fox News – had Dana Perino – co-host of The Five – on as guest. The topic of discussion was possible Trump VP picks.

Perino reasoned that since Donald Trump is a “New York guy,” he needs a “conservative westerner” to balance out the ticket and garner the broadest support.

In response, O’Reilly suggested – perhaps halfway tongue-in-cheek – Dick Cheney. “Dick Cheney…a conservative westerner…Dick Cheney everybody! We’ll have to bring him back!” O’Reilly exclaimed jovially.

While Perino didn’t offer any specific name for Donald Trump’s VP pick, O’Reilly claimed he knew the one person whom Trump has to select if he wants to win the White House.

“There is only one choice if he wants to win the White House, only one person…. Governor Susana Martinez of New Mexico. That is the only choice – with all due respect – if Mr. Trump wants to be President. [Martinez] cuts across all the ethnic boundaries. She’s very bright. She is a Republican conservative.”

Mediaite brought up, however, that according to the Washington Post, New Mexico Governor Susana Martinez had some harsh words for Donald Trump just about a week ago:

She told the crowd of about 60 wealthy GOP backers that, as a Latina, she was offended by Trump’s language about immigrants. Noting her years working as a prosecutor on the Mexican border and now as a border-state governor, Martinez said Trump’s plan to build a wall and force Mexico to pay for it was unrealistic and irresponsible, according to multiple people in attendance.

I’m sure it wouldn’t take much for Martinez and Trump to settle their differences and for the Governor to willingly accept if Trump selects her as Vice President.
