Trump Ready to Yank Federal Government Out of K-12 Education with Executive Order

Donald Trump is continuing his work on limiting the federal government’s overreach into our everyday lives with yet another executive order that puts America first.

The President’s latest move centers around the American public school system, specifically grade school and high school, and the massive amount of access and influence that the federal government has over the formative years of America’s youth.  Today’s executive order will work to remove many, if not all aspects of government control from the school system, leading the way for a much more streamlined and cost efficient education sector.  The move also returns America’s education system back to its intended level of government involvement:  Little to none.

“President Trump signed an executive order Wednesday to start pulling the federal government out of K-12 education, following through on a campaign promise to return school control to state and local officials.

“The order, dubbed the’Education Federalism Executive Order,’ will launch a 300-day review of Obama-era regulations and guidance for school districts and directs Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to modify or repeal measures she deems an overreach by the federal government.

“’For too long the government has imposed its will on state and local governments. The result has been education that spends more and achieves far, far, far less,’ Mr. Trump said. ‘My administration has been working to reverse this federal power grab and give power back to families, cities [and] states — give power back to localities.’”

Americans would be amiss to ignore the detrimental effects of former President Barack Obama’s administrative decrees as they pertained to public schools.  In the democratic deity’s lame duck term, Obama’s sudden obsession with transgender rights spilled over into academia as he threatened the nation’s schools with funding freezes from the government should they not comply with his belief that public school bathrooms must be gender-fluid.

While blindly accommodating the tiniest of American fringe subcultures, Obama was creating a dangerous situation for our nation’s youth, in which predatory adults would easily be able to hide behind the progressive decree to insert themselves into the private spaces of their intended victims.  Parents, teachers, and observant Americans were all rightly outraged at the former President’s move, yet were powerless against his overreach.

Now, once again Donald Trump is mopping up the mess left behind by the lunatic leftist, restoring balance to the nation’s educational system and removing the collateral by which Obama was able to hold public schools hostage.
