After a very successful trip to the Middle East, President Donald J Trump has come home to rising poll numbers just as he comes out as a champion for both tax reform and an end to the Obamacare mandate that is driving up the costs of health insurance.
Indeed, on Monday Pollster Rasmussen found Trump with a 45 percent positive rating, which is pretty high at least as far as this president’s ratings are concerned.
Here is how Raz described it earlier this week:
Trending: Sour Lemon
The latest figures include 29% who Strongly Approve of the way the president is performing and 45% who Strongly Disapprove. This gives him a Presidential Approval Index rating of -16.
Since January Trump has frequently been in the mid 30s but never higher than 49 percent approval. Whatever the case, he brings high passion on all sides of the aisle, for sure.
Regardless, throughout October Trump has maintained approval ratings above 45 percent with one outlier at 44 percent, as far as Rasmussen is concerned.
The take away from Raz is that Trump has been holding his own without any major dips in the last few months and as he reaches out to advocate for tax cuts and more dents in Obamacare his ratings are holding steady without going gangbusters.
And that is despite the fact that his critics simply can’t talk fairly about his presidency without revealing their hate-filled agenda with their every breath, especially on the left — including the left’s handmaidens in the left-wing media establishment.
Even the left-wing New Republic has noticed that liberals just can’t talk about Trump without wallowing in unhealthy hatred.
Recently New Republic writer Jeet Heer, for instance, wrote a piece entitled, “Liberals Are Becoming Knee-Jerk Anti-Trumpists,” where he chastised the left for being so mentally unbalanced that they even distort silly little things Trump does.
“Liberals and their media allies are becoming knee-jerk anti-Trumpists, always on the lookout for the president’s next embarrassing, meme-able gaffe — and sometimes pouncing without getting their facts straight,” Heer wrote.
You may recall last week when the president visited Japan and was filmed feeding the Koi fish with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzō Abe. The Japanese leader and our president scooped out several scoops of fish food and threw it down into the waters as they talked. After a few scoops, Abe took his food box and dumped the rest out into the fish-filled waters. Trump then followed suit dumping the remainder of his own fish food into the water, too.
But the media edited the film down to show only Trump dumping his fish food down upon the hungry fish below and then tried to turn the dishonest video clip into a “gaffe” that was akin to an international incident.
As soon as the edited video hit the Internet, liberals went into attack mode ripping Trump as dangerously “over-feeding the fish,” and most did so without the first clue that Trump was just emulating his host who dumped his fish food first.
Here is the unedited video:
The fish food nonsense is just one of the knee-jerk reactions the New Republic writer pointed to as he scolded the left for being brainless, anti-Trump automatons.
Heer cites several other examples equally as stupid showing the left jumping into attack mode before knowing the facts (or, as I am sure, purposefully distorting them).
Meanwhile, Trump has presided over an extremely strong economy, something that Barack Obama could never do in eight years. And now he is preparing to push Congress to enact tax reform and to nibble away even more at destructive Obamacare with a plan to eliminate the Obamacare mandate.
Trump confounds the left in the extreme. None of the tactics in their left-wing playbook work on him. And it’s driving them mad.
