Trump Overrules Obama Again – says No Transgenders in the Military

As the military was preparing to introduce new policies for bathroom use (including forcing female soldiers to bathe with transgendered men), the President was getting advice from his military leaders. On Wednesday he surprised the nation by making an executive decision and announcing that he was rescinding Obama’s orders allowing transgenders to serve in the military.

In a series of Wednesday morning tweets President Trump said:

victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you,”

While President Trump ran as one of the most socially moderate candidates in American history, he has thus far proven to be one of the most effective socially conservative President’s to ever hold office. He has partnered with the pro-life movement to roll back the availability of abortion and to stop funding for abortions both domestically and internationally. He has appointed one of the most brilliant and seemingly conservative judges to ever sit on the Supreme Court, and that decision has already paid dividends with the cases that Justice Neil Gorsuch has given opinions on. He has argued that the government must do a better job of protecting the religious liberty of all Americans, even majority Christians who have seen their rights and liberties erode over the last decade of Democrat attacks.

And now…

President Trump has made a decision that the thousands of men and women in our Armed Services are cheering. He, unlike his predecessor, has chosen to listen to the voices of his military leaders and has understood that the battlefield is far too dangerous a place for our government to be experimenting with social policy. In acting to restrict transgendered people from the military the President has chosen to put the safety and security of our soldiers first, and to take the slings and arrows of the leftists upon himself. This is what a leader does. He puts his people before himself, and with three simple tweets this morning the President has done just that.

I am the supreme law of the United States. Originally comprising seven articles, I delineate the national frame of government. My first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Articles Four, Five and Six entrench concepts of federalism, describing the rights and responsibilities of state governments and of the states in relationship to the federal government. Article Seven establishes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it. I am regarded as the oldest written and codified constitution in force of the world.
