Trump Diagnoses the Democrats – ‘They want a Shutdown’

President Trump accurately diagnosed the Democrats earlier this week when he told gathered media that a government shutdown is what they’ve wanted all along.

“I really think the Democrats want a shutdown to get off the tax cuts. Nobody thought, including the Democrats, it could work this well. They’ve been so good that I think Democrats would like to see a shutdown in order to get off that subject. That is not a good subject for them, the tax cuts, because of the way they’ve worked.”

In fact, this is likely why Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL) invented to the lie that President Trump called some 3rd world nations “sh**holes.”

Think about it. The President had invited Democrat leaders and Republicans sympathetic to the DACA DREAMers to the White House in order to hammer out a deal that would grant amnesty to 800,000 + DREAMers, but also provide more funding for border security and his wall. That’s all the Democrats had to do, provide some money for the wall, and they would get their deal on DACA.

And then… Dick Durbin drops a bombshell and destroys any possibility for the two sides to come to an agreement.

Weird, right?

It’s so weird, that even RINO Meghan McCain (daughter of RINO Senator John McCain (R-AZ) who is a fan of DACA), brought it up when she got a chance to confront Senator Durbin about why he sabotaged the proceedings.

Meghan McCain: “You have a history of misrepresenting statements from private White House meetings, and some say that you’ve actually done more harm than good to the DACA deal by revealing what Trump said in his private meeting. Do you think that’s true?”

Yep. That’s true. We don’t even need to hear his dissembling response about supporting DACA kids, blah, blah, blah.

Here’s NBC’s Kasie Hunt reiterating what we all already know, and why it’s ridiculous that no one in the media questioned Dick Durbin’s B.S. “shi*hole” story.

Chuck, the big problem for this bill is in the Senate. And Chuck Schumer and Democrats appear to have the votes and are broadcasting that pretty openly. They’re base — progressives want them to do this, they want them to take a public stand against President Trump. They are united. There is only a handful of red state Democrats –their party certainly not as strong as it used to be in rural areas– and instead, winning the day are the progressives, who say, ‘We don’t care. We want you to shut this down.’

The Democrats had a golden opportunity to amnesty the DACA DREAMers and instead they chose to derail the debate, and kill any possibility of reaching a compromise on DACA.

Why? Because they’d rather shut the government down in an attempt to embarrass President Trump than pass the amnesty deal they’ve been pretending to care about all these long years.

Because that is who the Democrats are – they don’t care about anyone but themselves and their political power.

I am the supreme law of the United States. Originally comprising seven articles, I delineate the national frame of government. My first three articles entrench the doctrine of the separation of powers, whereby the federal government is divided into three branches: the legislative, consisting of the bicameral Congress; the executive, consisting of the President; and the judicial, consisting of the Supreme Court and other federal courts. Articles Four, Five and Six entrench concepts of federalism, describing the rights and responsibilities of state governments and of the states in relationship to the federal government. Article Seven establishes the procedure subsequently used by the thirteen States to ratify it. I am regarded as the oldest written and codified constitution in force of the world.
