The people of Parkland, Florida are still trudging through sorrow, day in and day out, in order to push past their recent tragedy and try to find some semblance of normalcy in their lives once again.
Back on Valentine’s Day of this year, the city was transformed by a madman whose mental incapacities lit a fuse within a young man named Nikolas Cruz. When this millennial mortar finally went off, 17 Americans were dead, including 16 of the rampager’s former classmates and one coach who died while shielding his students from the unwell Cruz’s violence.
Cruz was severely disturbed. So much so, in fact, that he was already known to the FBI as a possible threat, with one caller even spelling out for the agency exactly what the issue with Cruz was.
The caller, whose name is removed from the transcript, said she was worried that Cruz was “going to explode.” The woman spoke with an FBI employee for more than 13 minutes on Jan. 5 and said she also alerted local authorities about him.
“I just want someone to know about this so they can look into it,” the woman said. “I just know I have a clear conscience if he takes off and…just starts shooting places up.”
Tragically, the FBI is as the FBI does, and in similar fashion to their botching of their Omar Mateen leads, the agency sat on its laurels and allowed these horrific deaths to occur.
The entire debacle captured the national attention, not only with the always-infuriating attempts to “repeal” the Second Amendment that the left constantly resorts to, but also due to the bizarre and inexcusable lack of effort put forth by the Broward County Sheriff’s Department, who many Americans feel are undeniably complicit in the attacks due to their uncouth backdoor deal with the school district to allow students to basically run amok.
Now, another horror has befallen the tragedy-stricken area, as a Broward County Sheriff’s Deputy was found dead this week.
Broward County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Fitzsimons, a fit 42-year old who was known to question the gun control agenda of the Parkland school shooting, “died unexpectedly” earlier this month.
Weeks before he died, Fitzsimons had taken to social media to criticize calls for gun control after the Marjory Stoneman Douglas shooting, including posting a meme of student gun control activist David Hogg posing as Hitler.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Department released a statement shortly after Fitzsimon’s death.
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Deputy Jason Fitzsimons today. Deputy Fitzsimons began his career with the agency In 2008. During this time he served with the North Lauderdale and Pompano Beach Districts. Our thoughts and prayers are with with his family. pic.twitter.com/vBmf50LtfJ

Given Fitzsimon’s willingness to push back against the liberal narrative of gun control, there has been plenty of speculation regarding this officer’s untimely death.
But, as with all things Parkland, it would be advisable to take these concerns with a grain of salt.
