This Movement in the Democratic Party Could Cost Them the Election

There seems to be more problems for Hillary Clinton besides her legal questions. There appears to be a movement in the Democratic party to oppose her in the general election.

This is nothing new for the Republicans. Many on the right have taken to voting independent because of the bad candidates the establishment has presented. But, the Democrats have been more successful at pulling together. But things they are a changing.

Trending: Thanks to Obama, California is Engulfed in Forest Fires

More than 50,000 people already have signed up at the Revolt Against Plutocracy, pledging to vote for the Green Party candidate in the general election or write in Mr. Sanders’ name if Mrs. Clinton wins the Democratic nomination. Other groups, such as Grassroots Action for Bernie, are taking to social media, using Facebook and Twitter to try to get the “Bernieorbust” hashtag trending.

What this means is that, to the horror of social conservatives, the Democratic party is swinging left of Hillary Clinton. But this is no surprise; in fact, it is somewhat predictable. This is not a new trend.

In the 1960 people like Bill and Hillary was pushing the old liberals too far, too fast. The swing hard left was more than many in the camp could take. As these young people departed from Kennedy’s brand of Democrat and followed a more progressive route, they left the old party behind.

Now, Sanders and his “wasted youth” are taking another hard left. This sudden shift has left Clinton playing catch up. And the Sanders supporters are saying as much.

The Times continues:

“I will not be voting for Clinton if Sanders does not win the nomination,” said Jon Clemens, a Sanders supporter from Hartford, Connecticut. “She has done nothing to earn my vote, and the Democratic Party should not assume that she will simply absorb Sanders’ supporters. Clinton has only ‘evolved’ to progressive political stances when public polling indicated to her that it was politically advantageous to do so. She is disingenuous, has little integrity and lacks vision.”

Hillary seems to have the same problem with socialists that she has with Christians; her pragmatism makes them sick.
