When watching President Trump’s first State of the Union Address, it had to make one feel happy and proud of all of the positive accomplishments that he and his administration have achieved in his first year.
But there were two different reactions in that chamber. One was the continual applauding of the Republicans, and the other was of a group on his right that I’m calling the “sourpuss brigade.” Instead of expressing the expected enthusiasm for such great accomplishments for the American people (and even the world), they were shockingly stone-faced and even snarling at times. How could they be so heartless and not be moved by such positive accomplishments?
Even the Black Caucus shockingly wouldn’t applaud when Trump announced that he had brought black unemployment to an all-time low. And he did the same for Hispanic unemployment.
Of course I’ve had that same feeling when watching the pre-converted Ebenezer Scrooge. Or the Wicked Witch Of The West in the Wizard of Oz. Of course the normal viewer would root against them and root for the good. But on a deeper reflecting on those two characters, it is hard to fathom what would motivate such a negative approach to life. And actually, when I see photos of Ruth Bader Ginsberg, I hear that Wicked Witch Of The West music.
Yes, these are sick individuals (and I chronicle the roots of their sickness in my book The Plague Of Liberalism, www.ThePlagueOfLiberalism.com). But an even more disturbing reflection is: how did these sick people come into a position of power and influence over many people in this nation? (That is an interesting topic that can be politically explained through devious methods on their part. For a spiritual explanation, the Bible says that there is a demonic influence behind their motivation.)
On the other hand, there have always been heroes in fiction (e.g. The Lone Ranger, etc.). And Donald Trump happens to be one of those modern day heroes. Whereas, past Republicans (and even some current ones) have wimped out and joined in the “resistance” and let the highly energized and motivated evil liberals and media roll over them. Well Trump has started to put an end to that influence, thank God. But surprisingly the bad guys are not going easily, as they resist in their blindness to what they are doing, even somehow falsely thinking that they are the good guys. (But the looks on their faces and the disastrous consequences of their actions and stances prove otherwise). Just the fact that they stand for baby murdering says it all.
My great wish at this time is that the swamp of this negative, anti-American group will be drained in the midterm elections this year. And along the way, all of their evil is brought to justice.
