Updated! “Suspicious Devices” found in New York City Shuts Down Times Square and Major Roads

Update (with original story following): Around 12:30 am the NYPD cleared the suspicious devices as “safe” and reopened the affected streets, as well as Times Square.

Original Story:

Bomb threats and suspicious devices found on the streets of New York City have forced the closure of several roads and Times Square.

Two devices were found within 50 feet of each other near 44th Street and Seventh Avenue around 11:20 p.m., officials told CBS2.

Sixth, Seventh and Eighth avenues were shut down to vehicles and pedestrians between 42nd and 45th streets.
