Student Investigated for “Islamophobia” After Praising U.S. Counter-Terror Actions

The liberal world’s obsession with allowing radical Islam to flourish has been proven time and again to be detrimental to modern, civilized society.

Their latest abomination of political correctness comes in the form of “Islamophobia”, something that the left believes is an irrational fear of religious terrorism emanating from the middle east and targeting all manner of non-Muslims.

Of course, this doesn’t take into account the vast evidence that the “religion of peace” is swiftly turning extreme, and that facets of the faith such as Sharia Law are invading corners of the modern world that were never planning on taking these massive steps backward, societally speaking.

Now, this tirade against reality has come to a head in Edinburgh, Scotland, as a university student is being investigated by his school for “Islamophobia” after praising a U.S. led strike on terror targets in Afghanistan via social media.

“Robbie Travers, a 21-year-old third-year law student, is being probed by the University of Edinburgh over claims he committed a ‘hate crime,’ even though no criminal investigation by the police has taken place.

“The complaint came when he shared a comment after the US Air Force dropped a massive ordnance air blast (MOAB, or “mother of all bombs”) on a network of Isis tunnels in Afghanistan in April.

“Mr Travers wrote on Facebook: ‘Excellent news that the US administration and Trump ordered an accurate strike on an Isis network of tunnels in Afghanistan.’

“‘I’m glad we could bring these barbarians a step closer to collecting their 72 virgins’.

“A spokesman for the university confirmed complains alleging misconduct against Mr Travers were being investigated, telling the paper: ‘We are committed to providing an environment in which all members of the university community treat each other with dignity and respect and our code of student conduct sets out clear expectations of behaviour.'”

Travers’ comment was reported to school officials by another student, with whom Travers had a previous altercation via social media.

The alarmed student had earlier complained that black people were “trash”, an insinuation that Mr Travers made very clear that he disagreed with.  Now, as the reporting student retaliates against Travers, the student could be facing disciplinary action that will affect his education.

This is certainly indicative of political correctness gone awry, especially in the case of terrorists who were not “simply Muslim”.  These were hardened killers, who would have killed again had the United States not put an end to their evil ways.

The fear of radical Islamic terror is very real, and undeniable, no matter how many snowflakes line up to cry foul.
