As if this entire, ridiculous process couldn’t have gotten any more convoluted or abrasively incoherent, here comes Michael Avenatti.
Avenatti, better known as “Creepy Porn Lawyer”, or the personal attorney for Stormy Daniels, has been a fixture of the nightly news cycles for months. Originally working to allow Stormy Daniels to tell her story of an alleged affair twelve years ago with Donald Trump, Avenatti is now very much in the public spotlight for his own, personal gain.
In fact, as the Stormy story fades into obscurity before our very eyes, Avenatti has worked to keep his name on the tip of America’s tongues by teasing a run for office and puffing his chest at Tucker Carlson every now and then.
His latest stunt, however, is absolutely unprecedented.
Celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti claimed on Sunday that he has “credible information” that Supreme Court nominee Judge Bret Kavanaugh essentially ran a gang-rape ring in the early 1980s with his high school friend Mark Judge.
“I represent a woman with credible information regarding Judge Kavanaugh and Mark Judge,” claimed Avenatti on Twitter. “We will be demanding the opportunity to present testimony to the committee and will likewise be demanding that Judge and others be subpoenaed to testify.”
My e-mail of moments ago with Mike Davis, Chief Counsel for Nominations for U.S. Senate Committee on the Judiciary. We demand that this process be thorough, open and fair, which is what the American public deserves. It must not be rushed and evidence/witnesses must not be hidden. pic.twitter.com/11XLZJBTtY

These insinuations, (or allegations?), are incredibly serious, but somehow, still almost laughable.
How in the world does Michael Avenatti believe that this would have gone on without a previous allegation? We have endured countless hours of talk about Brett Kavanaugh’s childhood in regard to these “parties”, and no one involved in such a wide-scoped activity as “gang rape”, especially in a habitual “ring” run by Mark Judge has said a word until now?
Also, and I’m just putting this out there; Let’s say those acts hypothetically occurred and were consensual. How would Avenatti plan to use his experience in Porn Law to explain the difference between Brett Kavanaugh and any number of actors that have worked with his other clients?
If I were a betting man, I’d be betting that Michael Avenatti ends up broke, disbarred, or both in the coming months.
