President Donald Trump’s agenda has been under a constant threat of attack by the creatures lurking in the dark corners of the D.C. swamp.

One such beast, Senator John McCain of Arizona, has long been a thorn in the side of the newly elected President.  The former POW, who many acknowledge had a part in aiding and abetting the enemy during his imprisonment, has thwarted every agenda piece that the Commander in Chief has attempted to pass so far in his young presidency.

Most disturbing, however, is how proud McCain has seemed while openly defying the will of the American people who elected Donald Trump to lead congress through the difficult and forthcoming changes.  His panache for the dramatic culminated in his over-acted “thumbs down” display during one such legislative session weeks ago.

McCain seems to enjoy overturning Trump’s apple cart – a disturbingly errant way for any public servant to behave.  That’s why observers were stunned to hear that the aging Senator may actually be on board with the Trump tax plan.

“The Arizona Republican was one of the last GOP senators who had not committed to supporting the proposal.

“‘After careful thought and consideration, I have decided to support the Senate tax reform bill,’ McCain said in a statement. ‘I believe this legislation, though far from perfect, would enhance American competitiveness, boost the economy, and provide long overdue tax relief for middle class families.'”

Could it be that McCain has had a change of tune in regard to President Trump?

A more likely scenario could be the behind-the-scenes evisceration of the Washington establishment that has been occurring at the behest of The Donald, which could very well frighten McCain into submission.  For far too long, the veteran legislator has been the big man on campus in republican circles, but with Trump in the White House, Johnny Boy’s charm has been tossed aside in favor of his record on the issues.
