If you are going to commit a crime in Tennessee, might I suggest Hawkins County. A 24 year old man,Wesley Dylan Marshall, was sentenced to 10 days in jail for pushing a 19 year old girl off of a 2nd floor balcony. Why did he do it? She refused to have sex with him. But you better stay out of Shelby County because they don’t play there.
Judge Lee Coffee sentenced Joshua Beadle to 10 days per word he uttered after the judge told him to shut his foul mouth.
Now one fella actually tried to kill somebody and the other just threatened. It is clear that the justice system is in a tail spin, and it’s not just a Tennessee problem, especially when it comes to sex related crimes. A very wise man I know recently told me the reason why. He said it’s because of the steady consumption of pornography in America. Nearly 70% of men and 20% of women view pornography on a weekly basis, and those who are entertained by such depravity can NOT see it as worthy of condemnation. I can see that. I mean, if you think about it really hard, it makes perfect sense. If you are a long time Eddie Murphy fan, chances are the F-bomb seems more like a fire cracker than the Nuclear Weapon that my Red Skeleton loving Grand Momma views it as. Whatever entertains you seems innocuous. The truth is, it is far from it.
According to CovenantEyes.com men are 543% more likely to look at porn than women. There are 3 times more male judges than female judges at the federal level. There are also 10 times more men in prison than women. It starts with us men, because when it comes down to it, there are just about as many women as men in our country. We need to be the examples and the leaders who say “ENOUGH”. Enough with being the weaker sex when it comes to sins of the flesh. We need to stand up and lead our families and the young men we have influence over.
Here are some more interesting stats from Covenant Eyes for you:
Those who are politically more liberal are 19% more likely to look at porn.
Those who have ever committed adultery are 218% more likely to look at porn.
Those who have ever engaged in paid sex are 270% more likely to look at porn.
Those who are happily married are 61% less likely to look at porn. WOW!!!!
Those with teen children at home are 45% less likely to look at porn.
Regular church attenders are 26% less likely to look at porn than non-attenders,
but those self-identified as “fundamentalists” are 91% more likely to look at porn.
Yes we have a problem and the solution starts with US!
