Manufactured outrage has been the theme of the year in Washington, and, in many ways, the nation as well.
We are being influenced on a number of levels, some forthright and others clandestine, to believe that a coming “New Civil War” is on the horizon. It’s a conflict that I wholly feel could and should be avoided, but, in order to do so, we must push back against the sensationalism of the corporate media and their goading us into combat with one another.
On top of the media malfeasance, there is another layer to this “resistance” onion, and that is the inexcusable practice of using paid protesters…something that Senator David Perdue would like to call attention to.
Sen. David Perdue (D-GA) said on Wednesday that Republicans should not put up with the harassment and intimidation of left-wing protesters who have descended on Capitol Hill to protest President Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, after Christine Blasey Ford accused him of sexually assaulting her decades ago at a high school party.
“These are not genuine people who are concerned about Dr. Ford or anything else. These are paid activists,” Perdue said on The Laura Ingraham Show. “This is a George Soros conspiracy, and it’s time we wake up, expose them, stand up, and fight for our country because that’s what’s at stake here.”
“It’s time for Republicans to stop being the minority party, grow up and stop playing defense,” Perdue said. “This is the time right now.”
George Soros is, of course, the liberal kingmaker and proponent of globalism whose vast wealth has allowed him to invest billions of dollars into left wing politics.
Purdue’s comments are sure to draw the ire of democrats and the leftist cabal in Silicon Valley, who have been working to equate such concerns to wild “conspiracy theories”, thusly erasing them from the pubic sphere under the protective cover of “private” publishers’ free will
