There have been changes occurring over the last thirty or so years in the scientific community. A community that was once a hotbed of free thought and research. The change has come in the area of publishing and research. A change that is for the worse, because it causes people to think that theory is fact.
This happened with the “theory” of evolution. People spoke of this theory as if it was fact until a generation came along that believed it was a fact. Now we see that an intelligent design scientist is in the fringe and is mocked. And the same thing is happening in the area of Climatology.
The Washington Times reports
A physicist who foresees a 30-year period of global cooling says other climatologists have tried to “silence” her latest research on solar cycles.
Valentina Zharkova, a professor at Northumbria University at Newcastle in the United Kingdom, said the Royal Astronomical Society received requests to withdraw a press release on her team’s latest research pointing to a significant drop in solar activity by mid-century.
Now this news seems to be good. It would mean that we are backing away from this cliff that we were supposed to be heading over. Instead of us losing beaches through rising oceans, we could see a growth in polar caps. But not everyone is happy about her results.
The Times continues
She presented her results July 9 at the National Astronomy Meeting in Llandudno, Wales.
“Some of them [scientists] were welcoming and discussing. But some of them were quite, I would say, pushy,” said Ms. Zharkova in a video interview posted Tuesday by the Global Warming Policy Forum. “They were trying to actually silence us. Some of them contacted the Royal Astronomical Society demanding behind our back that they withdraw our press release.”
With the Climate Alarmists running things we can hope for no other research than what they want us to hear; so much for science being the source and defender of truth. This is exactly what happened with the question of origin. The scientific community set out with an answer and then manipulated the data to fit that answer.
