“So it is to be war between us.”
New White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci said on Thursday morning that he’s not accusing chief of staff Reince Priebus of being a leaker but said if reporters think he is a leaker, Priebus should defend himself that he’s not the leaker. In other words, he accused Priebus of being behind the leaks.
In an early morning interview on CNN’s “New Day,” Anthony Scaramucci, spoke about the latest White House leak, his financial disclosure forms (in actuality it wasn’t really a leak because the disclosure form is a publically availible document).
In light of the leak of my financial disclosure info which is a felony. I will be contacting @FBI and the @TheJusticeDept #swamp @Reince45,
Including Priebus in the tweet raised more than a few eyebrows, but after removing the tweet above Scaramucci responded to a news report saying
Wrong! Tweet was public notice to leakers that all Sr Adm officials are helping to end illegal leaks. @Reince45 pic.twitter.com/AB0reseuX1

But on CNN’s New Day, he seemed to blame Priebus again, after first explaining his comment on Sunday that the two were like brothers:
If you want to talk about [Reince Priebus], we have had odds. We have had differences. When I said we were brothers from the podium, that’s because we’re rough on each other. Some brothers are like Cain and Abel. Other brothers can fight with each other and get along. I don’t know if this is repairable or not, that will be up to the president
For those who don’t remember their Genisis, Cain, and Abel were the children of Adam and Eve. Cain killed his brother because he thought God liked Abel better.
Anthony Scaramucci went on to say Reince’s name was on the tweet because of his role in managing the White House staff, “He’s responsible for understanding and uncovering and helping me do that inside the White House, which is why I put that tweet out last night,”
Then he went on to accuse Priebus of leaking again–indirectly but as clear as day…
