Sanctuary City Claims Yet Another Needless Victim

President Trump’s desire to bring law and order back to the nation, and specifically, back to immigration, is long overdue.

Not only are we seeing a rampant drug epidemic as Mexican cartels seamlessly move cash and narcotics across the border, the current immigration protocols have a bred a misplaced apathy for those who wish to enter our country illegally.  This ignorance-is-compassion approach has been proven dangerous time and time again, as sanctuary cities full of liberal lawmakers have endangered a great many American lives.

Now, yet another senseless tragedy can be sadly tied to the policies of a city under leftist control.

“After a woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident with an illegal alien who has been deported five times, the victims family is demanding justice.

“On February 19 Sandra Duran was killed near the corner of Sepulveda Boulevard and Plummer Street in Los Angeles.
According to authorities, 45-year-old Estuardo Alvarado, who has an extensive criminal record, was fleeing the scene of another accident when he crashed into Duran’s vehicle.

“Alvarado, who is a citizen of Mexico, has been removed from the U.S. several times between 1998 and 2011 per U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials.

“’If the laws would have been a lot stricter, this could have been prevented, but he had a record long already, so that tells you right there,’ said father Santo Duran.

“Duran’s family believes that Alvarado, who faces five felony counts, including murder, should spend the rest of his life behind bars.”

Unfortunately, for all involved, this terrible accident could have been avoided had America cities been required to enforce the laws that are already on the books concerning illegal immigrants.
