According to the ever-radicalizing leftists of our fine nation, President Donald J. Trump is some sort of Kremlin double agent whose stint in the White House only occurred because of Vladimir Putin.
This cockamamy scheme has been around for years, having emerged at the tail end of the 2016 election as Hillary Clinton’s hopes for victory began to fade. Her corrupt past was just far too much for many Americans to overlook, and with Wikileaks hellbent on exposing what’s left of her murky background, the democratic nominee had grown desperate.
The scary thing is: Everyone on the left believed her. They had no real reason to: Clinton was obviously grasping at straws during the sunset of her political career, but her words demanded action according to some, and soon arrived Special Counsel Robert Mueller, fishing pole in hand.
Mueller, for better or worse, has been investigating this supposed tie to Russia for nearly a year, having accomplished nothing but scaring a few low-level Trump associates with process charges – none of which relate to any collision between the campaign and the Russian government. In fact, the House committee set to investigate the same issue as Mueller has already completed their investigation, declaring, unequivocally, that there was no collusion between the President and any Russian agents.
Still, the left presses on.
As for whether or not the President himself is protecting Russia – a key element to the left’s supposed conspiracy – the answer is clear: Donald Trump isn’t giving anyone any slack these days.
President Donald Trump is preparing to expel dozens of Russian diplomats from the U.S. in response to the nerve-agent poisoning of a former Russian spy in the U.K., two people familiar with the matter said Saturday.Trump agreed with the recommendation of advisers and the expulsions are likely to be announced on Monday, the people said, though they cautioned that Trump’s decision may not be final. Trump is prepared to act but wants to be sure European allies will take similar steps against Russia before doing so, aides said.
The advisers reached recommendations for a U.S. response to the U.K. attack at a National Security Council meeting on Wednesday and honed the proposals on Friday. Trump discussed the issue Friday with U.S. Ambassador to Russia Jon Huntsman, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin, Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Defense Secretary James Mattis, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats, outgoing National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster and others, two people said.
This is merely the latest in a long line of political assassinations carried out by Vladimir Putin over his long and notorious reign.
With Trump clearly willing and able to lash out at the Kremlin over their obvious malfeasance, when will the American liberals realize that there isn’t a single indication that Russia has gotten anything in return for their supposed help in winning the election for Trump? Without a result, (leniency for Russia), there is no motive – much like without a hostage, there is no ransom.
