Progressives Push Suicide by Weakening our Military

A good President recognizes that a strong military is paramount for a strong country.  President George Washington knew this and pressed Congress to act in establishing a national defense force.  Unfortunately, our current president presses Congress to allow men in women’s bathrooms, gays to marry, and gun owners to lose their rights.

In the mid-1700’s, colonists Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson and John Adams worked tirelessly for twenty years to find a compromise with King George III.  They traveled to Europe, where they pleaded for understanding regarding the people’s frustration.  Meanwhile in the colonies, patriots such as John Hancock and Samuel Adams were gaining support from the people by demanding fair treatment from England.

When the British traveled to Lexington in April of 1775, they were not there to fight.  They were sent to arrest Hancock and Adams, who were labeled as traitors by the crown.  Minutemen assembled on Lexington Green to defend and protect the two men standing up for fairness and freedom.  Once “the shot heard ‘round the world” rang out across the field, the war was on. It was now obvious only guns and bloodshed were going to win this conflict.

The Second Continental Congress quickly established the Continental Army. General George Washington served as Commander-in-Chief and did so without pay.  He quickly realized the men suffered from lack of discipline and training.  They were not a professional army. However, their desire for independence outweighed their inexperience.

As president, Washington made creating a national armed force top priority once he took office. In August of 1789, he sent two reminders to the First Congressional Congress to address this issue with utmost urgency.  It was not until the last day of session, September 29th, did Congress act.  Both the House of Representatives and Senate passed a bill that day officially establishing the United States of America Armed Forces.

With his experience, President Washington understood the importance of a solid, well-organized, and properly trained military for the protection and safety of the country.  It was essential for its defense.  He knew the only real Constitutional duty of the Commander-in-Chief is to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”  President Barack Obama has singlehandedly ripped apart the only true Constitutional job he has.  Everything Obama has done has been in direct opposition to the office he holds.

And now for round two. A Hillary Clinton presidency will continue the treasonous acts of partnering with our enemies while vilifying our allies.  With the progressive One-World agenda, Obama is handing our safety, our freedom, and our rights over to those who want to see us on our knees.

With openly gay enrollment and mandatory transgender training, our military has become a social justice club for the progressive agenda.  As a result, our enemy has infiltrated our shores.  They make pressure cooker bombs and stab our loved ones in malls.  They attack our unarmed soldiers on military bases and execute our cops for sport.

Our soldiers are being forced to embrace gays, transgenders, and bisexuals.  At the same time, they are erasing “radical Islam” from their vocabulary and training manuals.  If we are going to fill our forces with LGBT individuals, shouldn’t our soldiers at least be trained to recognize a religion of peace that demands homosexuals be slaughtered?

Our military and police force have been castrated over the last 7 years.  Every drop of blood, every life that is taken because of it, lies squarely at the feet of Barack Obama.

Washington was absolutely correct when he insisted a strong military is crucial to the country’s well-being.  It is essential to fight and defend against our enemies. Unfortunately, our greatest enemies are within our gates.

Abraham Lincoln warned us that such a time would come, “Shall we expect some transatlantic military giant to step the ocean and crush us at a blow? Never! All the armies of Europe, Asia, and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth (our own excepted) in their military chest, with a Bonaparte for a commander, could not by force take a drink from the Ohio or make a track on the Blue Ridge in a trial of a thousand years. At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer. If it ever reach us it must spring up amongst us; it cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen we must live through all time or die by suicide.”

Progressives have written our suicide note.  The question is: Are we ready to sign it?

But that’s just my 2 cents.
