Once again, the leftist cabal of Trump-revolters in Washington is being forced to eat crow after making insinuations about the President’s phone call to a former U.S. soldier’s widow.
Earlier this week, Florida Democratic Rep. Frederica Wilson threw her hat into the “resistance” ring by making an absurdly horrific claim about a recent telephone conversation between President Trump and a Gold Star widow who was killed in the line of duty. In an effort to paint the President as some sort of morally-bankrupt monster, Rep. Wilson told the nation that Donald Trump exclaimed to the widow that her husband “knew what he was signing up for”.
The allegation was absurd from the get-go, but the manufactured hysteria surrounding President Trump had all of the lunatic left falling for Wilson’s asinine claims.
In an effort to defend the Commander in Chief, fellow Gold Star Widow Natasha De Alencar today released the audio of her phone call with the President, and it flies in the face of what Rep. Wilson claims.
“’I am so sorry to hear about the whole situation. What a horrible thing, except that he’s an unbelievable hero,’ Trump told her in the call about her husband Army Staff Sgt. Mark R. De Alencar, which The Washington Post released.
“’Thank you. I really, really appreciated it,’ she said. ‘I really do, sir.’
“Trump also told the widow if she is ever in Washington D.C. that she is welcome in the Oval Office.
“’If you’re around Washington, you come over and see me in the Oval Office,’ he said. ‘You just come over and see me because you are just the kind of family … this is what we want.’
“’Say hello to your children, and tell them your father he was a great hero that I respected,’ Trump said. ‘Just tell them I said your father was a great hero.’”
Obviously, this audio completely contradicts the fallacy being disseminated by Democratic Rep. Wilson as she intentionally attempts to undermine and defame the President.
Not only is this yet another example of the lengths that the liberal resistance is willing to go in order to defile the nation’s opinion of the President, but it represents an unethical breach of the public trust in our elected officials on the left. By creating a situation in which a widow must have her sanctity shattered and relive the grief of her husband’s death merely to defend the President from partisan politicking is not only despicable, but morally morose.
