Is President Trump Ready to Make Outer Space Great Again?

Donald Trump, while fending off jabs and attacks from all sides in his first few weeks as President, has still managed to push through some impressive legislation.

While the mainstream media and their cronies will be happy to point out what they feel are shortcomings in Trump’s agenda, they conveniently neglect to mention the full extent of the #Resist movement that has sprung up in the wake of his election.

When the President does succeed, however, it is with mighty gusto and far reaching implications.  How far, you ask?  How about 55 million kilometers?

Trending: Fuel for Thought

“President Donald Trump signed into law Tuesday a bill authorizing funding for NASA which also makes human exploration of Mars a priority.

“Known as the NASA Transition Authorization Act, the new law provides $19.5 billion in funding for fiscal year 2018 and tasks the space agency with planning a manned mission to the red planet in the 2030s.

“’I’m delighted to sign this bill,’ Trump said. ‘It’s been a long time since a bill like this has been signed, reaffirming our national commitment to the core mission of NASA, human space exploration, space science and technology.’

“As noted by the Houston Chronicle, the measure is ‘the first major NASA policy bill in seven years,’ which Trump also heralded for its job-creating ability.

“’With this legislation, we support NASA’s scientists, engineers and astronauts and their pursuit of discovery,’ Trump added. ‘This bill will make sure that NASA’s most important and effective programs are sustained.’”

NASA had been in a steady decline for decades, as the end of the space race took much of the wind from their sails, (so to speak).  With Trump ready to push science and NASA to the next level, we can only hope that this bill will help to stimulate a renaissance of sorts for the space program.
