While many Americans are now working to unravel the mystery behind James Comey’s anti-Trump leak campaign, a great many more are still hoping for closure in the Seth Rich investigation.
Rich was a DNC staffer during Hillary Clinton’s ill-fated run for the Oval Office in 2016. Shortly after Wikileaks began publishing leaked emails from within the Clinton campaign, a move that ultimately contributed to Hillary’s hilarious face-plant at the finish line, Seth Rich emerged as a possible subject in the liberating of the information. The education of the public was fierce and swift, with Hillary plummeting in the polls and succumbing to Americans’ conservative uprising.
By July 10th, 2016, Seth Rich was conveniently dead, murdered in what police are calling a “botched robbery”. Seth was still in possession of his wristwatch, wallet, and cellular telephone when his body was discovered, a fact that has perplexed many amateur investigators into the case.
The shoddy police work and suspicious nature of Seth’s death has led to a full-blown “truther” movement, with a great many Americans insisting that there must be a new, unbiased investigation into his murder. While the mainstream media has done their damnedest to quash the curiosity, the subject is persisting to invade our society, with 50,000 individuals signing a petition to have President Trump launch a new investigation.
“Tens of thousands of Americans have signed a White House petition calling for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate the case. The petition, which was created May 19, currently has almost half the signatures required – with a goal of 100,000 by June 18 – to receive a response from the White House.
“The head of a private investigative team in Washington, D.C., insists that Metropolitan Police Department officials have been instructed by Mayor Muriel Bowser to withhold evidence pertaining to Rich’s case from the public and obstruct the investigation for political purposes.
“’The police have shut down all full operations,’ Jack Burkman, head of the Profiling Project investigative team, told WND. ‘The police are not cooperating with us or anyone, which is sad. This has become a very systematic and deliberate effort by the D.C. police and the mayor to end the Seth Rich investigation.’”
As with any purported conspiracy theory, there are a number of disingenuous characters making the rounds of the amateur intelligence community, filling the varying message boards and forum threads with misleading information to throw the proverbial dogs off of the trail.
Even more damaging, however, has been the curious resistance of the mainstream media to report on the case, let alone give credence to the “truthers”. In fact, the sheer ferocity of the cable news networks’ disparaging remarks regarding the possibility of a new investigation has led many to believe in a much wider and more sinister set of circumstances.
