POTUS ISN’T PLAYING AROUND: Trump Tells Sessions to END IT!

The tumultuous and arduous endeavor being undertaken by Special Counsel Robert Mueller has divided our nation quite horrifically, and a growing number of prominent politicians are hoping to put the entire issue to bed.

The so-called #RussiaGate issue is a wild and wacky conspiracy theory that was first brought to the country’s attention during the 2016 presidential election when Hillary Clinton, the democratic candidate and heir apparent to the Obama administration began bizarrely insinuating that Donald Trump was somehow beholden to the Kremlin, or, in some of the more outlandish versions, was plotting to collude with Vladimir Putin in order to “steal” the election from Hillary herself.

Many Americans simply dismissed this nonsense outright as Clinton doing what Clinton does best; preemptively giving herself an excuse for whatever fate befalls her.

Now, after months and months of failed progress, Robert Mueller still has little to show for his efforts, even as Paul Manafort heads to trial on a number of weak process charges.  This has led to several calls to have the investigation ended, including demand from the President himself just today.

President Donald Trump on Wednesday made what appeared to be his most direct public call yet for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to shut down special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, but his personal attorney later described it as only Trump’s “opinion.”

Trump took to Twitter to demand that Sessions stop the probe “right now.”

“This is a terrible situation and Attorney General Jeff Sessions should stop this Rigged Witch Hunt right now, before it continues to stain our country any further. Bob Mueller is totally conflicted, and his 17 Angry Democrats that are doing his dirty work are a disgrace to USA!” Trump wrote, in the third of a series of tweets.

Sessions has been at odds with the President several times over the course of his time as Attorney General, notably on the subject of marijuana prohibition – a topic that the aging Alabama lawmaker has an imbecilic and archaic view on.

Will the President allow himself to be defied by Sessions yet again?  Only time will tell.
