President Donald Trump has been destroying the democratic party by allowing the democrats to simply destroy themselves, and the latest nonsense to come out of Phil Donahue’s mouth is no exception.
The left has proven themselves completely unable of decorum or realistic rhetoric in the past few months, with a heaping dose of absurdity leading their narrative. We The People have been forced to endure ridiculous, incredulous liberal claims about Donald Trump over the course of his fledgling presidency, including accusations of treason, collusion with the Russians, sexism, racism, and even the ever-prevalent leftist claims that the President would commit incest with his own daughter. None of it is inherently funny, contrary to Lorne Michaels’ shallow opinion on the subject, and the democrats have seemingly been unable to see the forest for the trees.
What the left is doing is absolutely unethical and unacceptable. The President of the United States, our President, has been accused of all of those things during his first term, with no consequence for the democratic operatives accusing him. These are insane and unverifiable allegations, and, quite frankly, exude a lack of respect for the office that Trump holds. This newfound indifference to the achievement of uniting the country behind a single candidate is not only disturbing, but it is also dangerous. If we world sees a divided America, they see a target.
Now, to pile onto that mound of mouth-manure, Phil Donahue has burst forth with yet another deplorable assertion.
“Former talk-show host Phil Donahue on Saturday reflected on President Trump’s administration, calling it ‘the darkest political moment in American history.’
“This is the darkest political moment in American history,” Donahue said on MSNBC’s “AM Joy” Saturday. “Who’s going to argue that?”
“Donahue’s show ‘The Phill Donahue Show’ ran for 29 years with nearly 7,000 episodes. He hosted Trump on the show multiple times.
“’I thought he was a hot dog,’ Donahue said, reflecting on past interviews with Trump. ‘He collected celebrities and made a lot of noise and got his name on a lot of buildings.'”When asked about whether he thought Trump could be impeached, Donahue said that Trump is too popular and it wouldn’t be a good decision for lawmakers’ popularity. Donahue compared Trump to Elvis, saying his base ‘will not tolerate criticism’ of the president.”
Criticism of the President is fine, and is expected in a nation of free people, but what is happening here is no simple critique.
The President is under attack, make no mistake about it. Not only is there an ongoing, unrepentant push to delegitimize the President, but that sentiment plays hand-in-hand with the assassination-obsessed Hollywood debutantes who are working to normalize the violent murder of our nation’s fairly elected leader. By continuing this asinine line of liberal logic, Phil Donahue has readied his own hands to be covered in the President’s blood, should the left continue their attempts to persuade their base to take unacceptable action.
