Petulant Democrats Simply Walk Away from Constitutional Process

As the Kavanaugh soap opera continues to gain steam in the DC Swamp, a number of democrats are showing their true colors.

Nominating and appointing a Supreme Court judge is a Constitutionally protected process that has been occurring within our nation for hundreds of years.  The democrats have had a wealth of experience to call upon, both in their own recent memory or in the history books, in order to do their best work in the case of Judge Brett Kavanaugh.  After all, this is their duty to the American people.

They failed.  Miserably.  They held onto these accusations, knowing full well that this last-minute, goal-line stand was a possibility, and now they are attempting to use this happy accident of exposing Dr. Christine Blasey-Ford to their political ends.

Worse still, as they continue to fail in their attempts to derail the Kavanaugh confirmation, they are doing so with all the class and grace of a scorned 5th grader.

Four Democratic members of the Senate Judiciary Committee walked out of the hearing room in protest after Republicans decided along party lines to schedule a “time certain” vote on Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh for 1:30 p.m.

Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.), Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.), Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) and Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) walked out of the room, causing a burst of activity from photographers in the well of the hearing room who captured the moment.

“I strongly object. This is just totally ridiculous. What a railroad job. My answer is no, no, no!” Hirono yelled out shortly before leaving the room.

Harris declined to vote, staying silent to protest Republicans handling of the nomination, as did Booker.

This would all have been avoided, democrats, if you had taken Dr. Ford more seriously during the summer, when you had the allegations handy and the ability to conduct a stealthy, private investigation into the matter.

By not allowing yourselves that opportunity, you’ve lost your standing in this process.

So, as your millennial followers would say:  K. Thx. Bye.
