The liberals have been desperate to distance themselves from the actions of radical leftist James T. Hodgkinson for over 24 hours, and their spin cycle looks to be failing miserably.
Hodgkinson, who has been identified as a Bernie Sanders campaign volunteer and active member of several anti-conservative internet organizations, opened rifle fire on a baseball field packed with republican congressmen who were practicing for a charity game early on Wednesday morning. After squeezing off dozens of rounds, striking at least 4 people and critically injuring Louisiana representative Steve Scalise, Hodgkinson was finally incapacitated by brave Capitol Police officers armed only with their service pistols.
Now, in the wake of this watershed moment for the violent, radical left, democrats around the nation are working overtime to convince us that Hodgkinson was not a politically motivated terrorist. One of the ways in which they hope to achieve this whitewashing of literal history is by employing congressional leaders to dish out cliches about how party lines “don’t apply” today.
Cue dingbat Nancy Pelosi:
Trending: Fuel for Thought
“But it was Democrat Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) whose Twitter comment accompanying her official statement set the tone for the California delegation: ‘On days like today, there are no Democrats or Republicans, only Americans united in our thoughts for the wounded.’
“She also stated: ‘This morning, the U.S. Congress suffered a despicable and cowardly attack. My thoughts and prayers are with Whip Steve Scalise and the others wounded, Capitol Police and staff, and their families.’
“’We are profoundly grateful for the heroism of the Capitol Police, whose bravery under fire undoubtedly saved countless lives. On days like today, there are no Democrats or Republicans, only Americans united in our hopes and prayers for the wounded.’”
Certainly the lip service demonstrated here by Pelosi is expected, but what many are missing is her attempt to coerce us into abandoning our political designations in the wake of this tragedy.
Sure, it sounds pleasant on the ear to promote unity among warring factions of our government, but, given Pelosi’s outrageous leftism, this was surely a calculated political maneuver. By abandoning the party lines that separate James Hodgkinson from Steve Scalise, (the same party lines that affiliate Pelosi with the shooter), the batty and possibly senile Pelosi has asked that We The People ignore the blatant motivation for these attacks.
Hodgkinson was unequivocally and maliciously targeting conservative republicans due to his radical, leftist, democratic beliefs. No number of canned responses and tired anecdotes will change that. Nancy Pelosi simply wishes that we’d forget the hate and prejudice that was displayed in these attacks, as they demonstrate the true nature of the violent and intolerant progressives of our nation.
