There are scourges within our society that tend to live in the realm beyond law and order, and in a world of abject and undeniable evil.
Pedophilia is just such a scourge, and the ideas of “justice” in this field have been wildly varied throughout our history as human beings.
For some, those afflicted with the distinguishing characteristics of pedophilia should be rehabbed, and treated as though they have a simple addiction-type problem. For others, there is no punishment that truly fits the crime. Sure, those who are arrested and sentenced to prison will likely be humiliated in obscene, violent, and degrading ways while doing their time in the prison system, and that has brought solace to more than a few of their victims.
Still, others believe that there is no cure for such wickedness, and have suggested some terrifyingly tyrannical ways in which to deal with the issue.
One mother in West Virginia has opted to take a different approach than his Holiness, however, and her daughter is safer for it.
A mother used a single blast from a shotgun to remove the head of a 53-year-old pedophile after allegedly catching him in the act of assaulting her 12-year-old daughter.
The man, a registered sex offender, died immediately.
ABC News 14 reports that the woman heard “a commotion” in her Morgantown, West Virginia, home, so she grabbed her shotgun and went to investigate. Upon reaching her daughter’s room, she allegedly saw the man “struggling with her daughter.”
The man then turned toward the mother, “at which point she fired directly into his face, blowing off most of his head.”
Speaking purely from a literal standpoint, this registered sex offender will not be offending again.
