Paul Ryan Sides with Rod Rosenstein and #RussiaGate Thursday

Those in Washington who deny the existence of the Deep State, or RINO republican cabal are either doing so out of their, unkempt ignorance, or to serve their own anti-Trump agenda.

The evidence of this organized, right-wing resistance is ample and undeniable.  Just look at any statement that longtime Arizona Senator John McCain has made over the course of the last few years.  Or, better yet, head over to YouTube and take a look at what the republicans were saying about the eventual president back when they hope to the keep the republican party firmly in the grips of the Washington Swamp creatures and their agenda.

Now, as Paul Ryan is on his way to the door, the speaker of the house is taking one last, desperate swipe at the President, siding with the Special Counsel and the #RussiaGate witch hunt.

House Speaker Paul Ryan said Thursday he doesn’t support an effort by a small group of conservatives to impeach Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, likely dooming the endeavor and easing a months-long standoff between House Republicans and the Justice Department.

Ryan said the tussle over document requests between congressional Republicans and Rosenstein, who oversees the federal Trump-Russia investigation, doesn’t rise to the level of “high crimes and misdemeanors” that could warrant impeachment under the Constitution.

“I don’t think we should be cavalier with this process or with this term,” Ryan said. He also said he is encouraged by progress on the document production.

Ryan made the comments a day after the group of 11 House Republicans sharply escalated the extended clash with the Justice Department by filing articles of impeachment against Rosenstein, who oversees special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation.
Ryan’s obsolescence could be the death knell of the entire movement, given that the republicans were already going to struggle with the possibility of defeating an angry democratic demographic in the houses of Congress.
