Obama’s Response to the Terrorist Attack in Brussels? Attend a Baseball Game With a Dictator. [VIDEO]

After President Obama’s soft-serve “we stand in solidarity” speech responding to the latest Islamic terrorist massacre in Brussels, the Left spent a good deal of Tuesday afternoon defending his latest shirking of presidential duty.

They needn’t have bothered. Obama had things well in hand.

Asked by an interviewer on ESPN — yes, that ESPN — how he could bring himself to attend a baseball game after the slaughtering of at least 30 people and wounding of 230 others, Obama said it was important that he go to the game to show that he wasn’t intimidated by terrorists.

Trending: Science is Settled

“It’s always a challenge when you have a terrorist attack anywhere in the world, particularly in this age of 24/7 news coverage,” he said. “You want to be respectful and understand the gravity of the situation, but the whole premise of terrorism is to try to disrupt people’s ordinary lives.”

Obama then babbled on about how the Red Sox played a game shortly after the Boston Marathon bombing (I forget, is that one that Obama acknowledged as terrorism?) and how brave that was.

Well, we certainly expect no less of our president. Here’s the money quote:

“That is the kind of resilience and the kind of strength that we have to continually show in the face of these terrorists,” he said.

In other words, he went to the game for the sake of the free world. Never has so much rested on an exhibition game.

Here’s an actual image of Obama, seated beside his wife and Cuba’s President Raul Castro, demonstrating that resilience and strength by doing “The Wave”:

As if all that wasn’t enough, Obama apologists had to work overtime when the president was photographed seemingly standing at attention in front of a mural of murdering Communist scumbag and American Left hero Che Guevara, star of t-shirts, posters and Hollywood movies.

President Obama stands at attention in front of a Che Guevara mural.

As former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich put it, “deliberate endorsement of Communist revolutionary or bad staffing? I bet deliberate.”

This prompted leftists all across the Internet to whip up a straw man meme about how Obama is treated differently from Republican presidents who were photographed in front of statues of various Communist figures.

Poor Obama is treated unfairly compared with Republican presidents -- not.

Poor thing. Now, dry your eyes.

The Left is absolutely incapable of distinguishing between Republican presidents who to varying degrees fought against socialist tyranny (or at least spoke against it) and a Democrat who embraces socialism in his policies and who was formerly a member of the socialist New Party, according to that group’s own newsletter (see the middle column at bottom; also notice the [score]Bernie Sanders[/score] quote endorsing NP):

The New Party News naming Obama as a member.

But once again, the pro-Obama trolls should not have bothered, because the president quickly removed all doubt about how he felt regarding the murdering psychopath hero of the Democratic Party (Guevara, not Ted Kennedy):

President Obama finds a Che shirt in his size.

Doesn’t he look tickled? So nice to see the president happy.

And not to be left out, first lady Michelle Obama put the cap on the foreign visit when it was revealed that two dresses she brought with her for the Cuba trip cost more than 23 times the annual salary of the typical Cuban worker.

After this show of resilience and strength by the president and clan, the Islamic terrorists over at the ISIS Hall of Doom must be shaking in their boots.
