Obama Continues His Attack Against Christianity

When you think of disaster relief, the last thing that you would think about would be LGBT rights. The reason is that it just does not seem like something which would be a question. How many people do you think is in Africa in the middle of a war torn country, who wants to identify as another gender?

Is this an issue that has been dealt with in real life? This is not something that is very likely to have happened, and one that cannot be pointed out as having happened. So, the decision the administration made to make a rule concerning such things seems like discrimination.

The Washington Times reports

The Obama administration announced a rule last week that threatens to strip federal contracts from religious relief organizations and charities that adhere to traditional views of gender and sexuality, continuing a trend of governmental hostility toward religion.

National Security Adviser Susan E. Rice said the rule prohibits organizations that contract with the U.S. Agency for International Development from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity in the administration of aid.

“The United States also needs to do more to institutionalize efforts to promote LGBT rights,” Ms. Rice said in a speech at American University last week on the state of gay rights around the world.

So, this would mean that the sleeping and bathing quarters provided by some relief groups would have to allow men into the women’s areas. If they do not, then they are going to lose their ability to take federal monies.

But, why should these organizations continue to serve the government?

Yes I know that they are doing much good. I know that many are helped, but if we have to choose between helping fewer people or taking part in sinful and unsafe practices, we must decide to help fewer people.

Besides this, we would soon see such foolishness ceased. The left does not give to such charities, and there are too few charities who could take the place of the ones in existence.

This again shows why such organizations should have never got in bed with the state, to begin with; if they are giving, they are controlling. It is just that simple.
