Barack Obama, in his last few days in office, continues to insult America and the American military. He not only insulted the military but rubbed salt in a still open wound.
Obama has a track record of insulting and destroying the American military. First, he forced the military to allow homosexuals and gender confused individuals to openly serve. At the same time, he forced military chaplains to perform ceremonies for homosexuals, regardless of how much it violated their faith. Failure to comply, even to participate in a homosexual ceremony, would be a direct violation of their religious faith and would result in a court martial and dishonorable discharge.
Then, Obama began tailoring top military leadership by asking them if they would open fire on American citizens if ordered to do so. Those who refused were punished in various ways, some were demoted and others forced to resign or retire.
Then, Obama began dismantling the military and America’s defenses. He cut the number of nuclear weapons to about a third of what they were before he took office. Obama also reduced the size of the military to its lowest number in decades.
I know several people that were making the military their career, but decided to resign due to Obama’s many anti-military policies. One person had actually served in a military protection detail for former President George W. Bush, but after serving once with Obama, he left the military. He told me that Barack and Michelle Obama treated all of the military detail personnel with disdain and like they were lowly servants. He also told me that the Bush’s always treated the military detail with the utmost respect and took genuine interest in them and their lives.
Needless to say, Obama has never been a fan of the military. He has paid far more attention and loyalty to the LGBT community than to the many men and women who sacrificially serve and protect our nation.
I believe that is why Obama commuted the sentence of Chelsea Manning.
Manning was born Bradley Edward Manning and joined the Army in 2007. During basic training, Manning could not cope physically or mentally with the rigors of boot camp. Having been in boot camp, I can testify that the drill sergeants have a short time to turn soft spoiled kids into hardened fighting men. I’ve seen guys who could not cope. One guy in my flight tried to commit suicide, but survived. From I heard, he was to spend the next 20+ years in a military prison, probably Fort Leavenworth.
Instead of buckling down and working hard to grow and be a man, Manning decided that his problems had everything to do with his so-called gender identity crisis. After being deployed to Afghanistan and Kuwait, Private Manning decided to turn traitor to the country he/she swore to protect and serve.
In 2010, Manning began his/her traitorous act of downloading nearly half a million classified and sensitive documents and then leaked them to WikiLeaks. The documents compromised the lives of numerous military personnel.
In May 2010, Manning was arrested by the US Army Criminal Investigation Division (CID).
In March 2011, Manning was charged with 22 counts of violating the Espionage Act. One of those charges was ‘aiding the enemy’. This offense could be punished by the death sentence, however, the Army said they would not pursue the death penalty.
In 2013, Manning plead guilty to 10 of the charges and was found guilty on 17 of the charges against him. Manning was subsequently sentenced to 35-40 years in prison, along with a reduction in rank, dishonorable discharge and forfeiture of all pay.
In 2014, Manning applied for clemency and was turned down.
During all of this, Manning began his transformation from Bradley to Chelsea. He/she struggled with life in prison and even attempted suicide.
So, in one last parting shot against the US military and everything decent about America, Barack Obama commuted the remainder of Manning’s prison sentence, which should have kept him/her in prison until at least 2034.
Many believe that Obama’s action in commuting Manning’s sentence had everything to do with this pro-LGBT agenda and nothing to do with justice. But that shouldn’t be a surprise since Obama has never been about justice in his life. He acts solely on his agendas, regardless of those actions being illegal, anti-American or anti-military.
I wonder what Obama would say if confronted face-to-face with any of the military personnel whose lives were in danger over Manning’s leaked documents?
