There seems to be a never-ending carousel of attention-seekers lining up to take a bite out of the President of the United States, hoping to get their names in the headlines.
One of the most entertaining of these bratty children has been Jim Acosta of CNN, whose constant and ridiculous outbursts during White House press briefings really should be turned into some sort of drinking game. Even more amazing are his tearful soliloquies after the fact.
Of course, one can’t have a conversation of this sort without mentioning Stormy Daniels either, even though no one ever really wants to mention Stormy Daniels. Ever.
This week’s flash in the pan, “celebrity” resistance comes to us from former television personality Omarosa Manigault-Newman, who worked with President Trump on the television show The Apprentice. Newman has claimed, in her new book, of course, that Donald Trump is a racist and “tapes” exist of the President using the “N-word”.
Donald Trump has responded sternly.
President Donald Trump said Monday that his former aide Omarosa Manigault Newman made up the story about a possible tape existing of him using the n-word during his show The Apprentice.
Newman claimed in her new book that a tape of the president existed that featured him saying the n-word.
But Trump said the former producer of the show called him to say there was no tape of him using the word.
“Mark Burnett called to say that there are NO TAPES of the Apprentice where I used such a terrible and disgusting word as attributed by Wacky and Deranged Omarosa,” Trump said. “I don’t have that word in my vocabulary, and never have.”
There really is no telling where this story will go from here. If a tape is produced by Newman, there will likely be chaos in America. One side will claim that Trump has always been a racist, and the other side will claim that the tape has been faked in order to sell books.
Which, of course, is what Omarosa is hoping for.
