In the wake of hurricanes Harvey and Irma, the left has been quick to begin spouting their favorite fictitious statistics regarding the global warming hoax.
This absurd bastardization of science has been at the forefront of the liberal mindset for decades, and it’s easy to understand why. By fabricating an enemy larger than any one organization or nation can battle, the left has given themselves an “out” for every bipartisan argument they encounter. They will claim that they are on the correct side of the environmental issue, and that those who don’t submit to their will are heartless, cold human beings with no compassion.
To bolster their asininity, global warming hoaxers present us with extremely heart wrenching images of drenched polar bears on tiny icebergs, flooded coastal cities, and calving glaciers. Of course, these are all extremely natural, regularly occurring events that have only been perverted by their liberal context.
Now, as Americans across the south are suffering and recovering, the left simply cannot help but push this erroneous agenda out into the mainstream once again, claiming that their nonexistent scientific data magically proves that hurricanes are more dangerous because of their farcical assertions of “global warming”.
Worse yet, there are a bevy of these liberal guilt trip connoisseurs who now believe that refuting the horrifically mangled mathematics of their hoax should be a criminal offense.
“’Climate change denial should be a crime,’ declared the Sept. 1 headline in the Outline. Mark Hertsgaard argued in a Sept. 7 article in the Nation, titled “Climate Denialism Is Literally Killing Us,” that ‘murder is murder’ and ‘we should punish it as such.’
“The suggestion that those who run afoul of the climate change consensus, in particular government officials, should face charges comes with temperatures flaring over the link between hurricanes and greenhouse gas emissions.
“’In the wake of Harvey, it’s time to treat science denial as gross negligence — and hold those who do the denying accountable,’ said the subhead in the Outline article, written by Brian Merchant.
“Brad Johnson, executive director of Climate Hawks Vote, posted last week on Twitter a set of ‘climate disaster response rules,’ the third of which was to ‘put officials who reject science in jail.’
“Climate skeptics have taken note of the alarming trend. ‘Ever since Hurricane Harvey, the global warming-hurricane hysteria has ratcheted up to levels I haven’t seen since 2006,’ said Ms. Curry.”
This Orwellian tyranny would never be tolerated if it were some other subject at the center of a debate over reality.
For some reason, however, the left gets a free pass to call for the jailing of those with whom they disagree. This is purely a call for the formation of “thought police” that the left can then sick on their political and environmental enemies.
Those who propose such tyranny ought to be jailed.
