Tensions between North Korea and the United States have been on the rise as of late, and now the rogue nation has warned that they are ready and willing to nuke the U.S.
Over the course of President Trump’s first 200 days in office, Kim Jong Un has continuously escalated his nation’s rhetoric and action, threatening the United States with atomic strikes and “total annihilation”. This tough talk has been occurring at regular intervals over the course of the last few months, with intermittent missile tests and nuclear threats scattered throughout.
Now, as the two nations prepare to clash over North Korea’s continued defiance of international pressures, the tiny Asian country has warned the U.S. that their nuclear arsenal is armed and ready to send rockets skyward.
“North Korea took its turn Saturday in the country’s escalating, back-and-fourth with President Trump with the state-run newspaper saying leader Kim Jung Un’s revolutionary army is ‘capable of fighting any war the U.S. wants.’
“The assertion was made in an editorial that also states the Paektusan army is now ‘on the standby to launch fire into its mainland, waiting for an order of final attack.’
“DPRK stands for North Korea’s official name, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.
“The editorial appears to be in response to a series of comments made by Trump in recent days, most recently Friday that the United States is ‘locked and loaded.’”
Trump’s tough talk regarding North Korea has stirred the United States, with preparatory nuclear information being disseminated throughout several major cities.
North Korea has been wildly threatening in recent weeks, ramping up their rhetoric to an obscene degree in the age of President Trump. This week’s showdown comes as Trump is struggling with turncoat republicans in Congress who refuse to install a single piece of his promised policies.
