No First Amendment Protection for Exposure of Planned Parenthood

It was not enough that Planned Parenthood was completely funded by Republicans. According to an Associated Press story, a grand jury not only claimed that there is no evidence that Planned Parenthood engaged in organ trafficking for profit, but they are trying to imprison the investigative journalist and activist who exposed the organization.

David Daleiden, founder of the Center for Medical Progress, was indicted on a felony charge of tampering with a governmental record and a misdemeanor count related to purchasing human organs. Another activist, Sandra Merritt, was also indicted on a charge of tampering with a governmental record.

Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson didn’t specify what record or records were allegedly tampered with in a statement announcing the indictment.

Daleiden is more hated than Edward Snowden and has fewer friends. It is not enough for our corrupt society to cover up Planned Parenthood’s hideous activities. Daleiden must be made a public example to teach the rest of us not to meddle.

This travesty is a demonstration of the Revolution that has replaced the society that was described in the Declaration of Independence—a society that recognized, with some horrible inconsistencies, the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. It has been replaced by a eugenicist ethic and order.

Typically, only conservatives acknowledge the Nazi-like legacy of the early “progressive” left, but recently the New Republic has published an article admitting the truth. It tells us, for instance, about the textbook that was the reason for the Scopes “monkey” trial. It was entitled A Civic Biology.

The author, George William Hunter, […] insisted on the vital importance of what he called “the science of being well born”—eugenics. Like most progressives of the time, Hunter believed in “the improvement of man” via scientific methods. That meant promoting personal hygiene, proper diet, and reproductive control. A Civic Biology also has suggestions for what to do with “bad-gened” people, in a section called “The Remedy.” “If such people were lower animals,” the books says, “we would probably kill them off to prevent them from spreading. Humanity would not allow this, but we do have the remedy of separating the sexes in asylums or other places and in various ways preventing intermarriage and the possibilities of perpetuating such a low and degenerate race. Remedies of this sort have been tried successfully in Europe.”

Of course it wasn’t too much later before Nazi Germany showed that Humanity would allow it.

Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, arose as an ardent defender and champion of the progressive eugenicist ideal.

So the exposure of Planned Parenthood cannot be tolerated. Daleiden has managed to commit blasphemy against our liberal masters. He must be punished.
