What in the world is going on? Why do so many people seem willing to kill each other over politics?

What drives people to invest ordinary politics with such vitriol that they fantasize about murdering people on the other side?

In 2013 Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) tried to defund Obamacare and earned the ire of his colleagues. Looking back… he was 100% correct.

“The Obama strategy, I believe, is that on January 1, subsidies kick in, and his strategy is very simple: He knows that in modern times no major entitlement has ever gone into effect and been unwound. Never been done. His strategy is to get as many Americans as possible hooked on the subsidies, addicted to the sugar. I think if we’re going to stop Obamacare, we have to do it now. If we get to January 1, this thing is here forever.”

Maxine Waters (D-CA) says that impeachment is NOT enough for President Trump, and that more extreme measures are necessary.

The liberal impeachment fantasies have to stop.

For too long, liberals have clung to the former and ignored the latter. In order to survive the Trump era intact, they must resist the urge to look for the future in the 1970s. They must stop wasting their time reading fan fiction and deal with the reality that we are probably stuck with Trump.
