In the mainstream media, they are preparing for a war.
This shouldn’t be surprising to anyone with any cursory knowledge of the way the entertainment business works. Conflict and concern create public interest, public interest begets ratings, ratings bring in the advertising revenue, and everybody gets paid.
Any time you turn on television news, you should be observing through the filter of this reality, but, sadly, we don’t see enough of this truth out there.
So, as the legacy media of cable news continue to push narratives that set us up for combative behavior, the reality of what might be occurring behind the scenes is often quite different. Take the Robert Mueller investigation, for instance, in which we are being told a great showdown looms between the President and the Special Counsel.
In reality, Trump’s lawyers have spent nearly 30 hours in the presence of the former FBI chief’s team trying to sort this whole thing out.
McGahn has reportedly discussed accounts of multiple episodes at the center of Mueller’s probe into whether President Trump obstructed justice. Multiple sources told the Times that McGahn has had three voluntary interviews with Mueller’s team that totaling 30 hours.
Of course, the left is preparing us for a “New Civil War” before this whole thing is over, hoping to be the first to use the term when it comes time to reap the ratings they’ve instigated.
