It appears as though Special Counsel Robert Mueller is entering a new phase in his crazed fishing expedition, and his latest action is truly irking some congressional leaders.
The cockamamy theory the President Donald Trump is somehow an undercover agent of the Russian government has been floating around the democratic side of the aisle ever since Hillary Clinton first uttered the nonsense during the 2016 campaign. The conspiracy theory has since spiraled out of control, with Robert Mueller being appointed as Special Counsel in order to further investigate the matter.
Now, according to Mueller, he has successfully hunted at least one witch, with charges coming on Monday. The only problem with the revelation so far is that Mueller’s team leaked the information to the mainstream media earlier in the week. This unethical move was absolutely lambasted by Trey Gowdy on Sunday.
“Gowdy said it was ‘kind of ironic that the people charged with investigating the law and the violations of the law would violate the law.’
“Gowdy said, ‘In the only conversation I’ve had with Robert Mueller, I stressed to him the importance of cutting out the leaks with respect to serious investigations. It’s kind of ironic that the people charged with investigating the law and the violations of the law would violate the law.’
“He added, ‘Make no mistake, disclosing grand jury material is a violation of the law. Somebody violated their oath of secrecy.’”
Furthermore, there is a very great possibility that Mueller’s timing and the leak itself are all a piece of a much larger play by the former FBI Director.
It is awfully likely that this is simply a tactic Mueller is using to smoke out a target. By leaking his “coming charges” for one individual were coming on Monday, Mueller now has the entire weekend to observe the machinations around him. He was look at any odd behavior being displayed by those he is observing as a sign of something more sinister in the air.
In all reality, Mueller can use these observed behaviors to further his own skewed view of the truth, by controlling this little experiment’s stimulus.
