As Brett Kavanaugh continues to march toward his electorally inevitable appointment to the Supreme Court, the democratic party is growing desperate to stop him.
For weeks, the left has been attempting to smear the Constitutionally knowledgable nominee, particularly in the realm of women’s rights. The hysteria surrounding Kavanaugh’s possible nomination reached new heights in recent days however, as hundreds of protesters have been arrested for interrupting the proceedings with obnoxious consistency.
This was all for naught, however, as Kavanaugh’s appointment to the court is a near mathematical certainty as this point, barring some profound chicanery from the democrats.
And…right on cue, Dianne Feinstein drops a possible bombshell.
Senate Democrats have referred information concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the FBI, they said Thursday, and called for the Judiciary Committee to delay a vote.
“I have received information from an individual concerning the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court,” Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-California, said in a statement. “That individual strongly requested confidentiality, declined to come forward or press the matter further, and I have honored that decision,” she said.
“I have, however, referred the matter to federal investigative authorities,” she added.
Illinois Sen. Dick Durbin said the referral went to the FBI but also did not say what the information contained.
“No idea what they are going to find,” Durbin told CNN. “I think the FBI is the appropriate agency and that’s where it was referred.”
There will undoubtedly be a great deal of emphasis on the fact that this is yet another “anonymous source” situation, at least for the time being, as the President continues to face attacks from all manner of shadowy “sources”.
