This week has marked the inception of a dangerous new era of political upheaval in America, with the radical left rising to a level of violence no one could have predicted.
Earlier this week, James T. Hodgkinson opened fire on a charity baseball practice full of republican congressmen, in hopes of killing and maiming as many as possible. Several were injured in his rampage, including Louisiana representative Steve Scalise, who remains hospitalized in critical condition after number surgeries.
Shortly after being incapacitated by Capitol Police, with wounds that would later kill him, Hodgkinson was discovered to be involved with several violent, radical left groups on Facebook. The organizations and Hodgkinson himself seemed to share the same, horrific sentiment: Eliminate all of America’s conservatives by any means necessary, and “destroy” the President as well. There is no doubt that the actions of this criminal captain of the liberal army were influenced by the vitriol being allowed to spread on a social media platform that has dedicated massive resources to censoring conservative ideals.
Now, as if he was some sort of signal to the rest of the radical leftists still in hiding, Hodgkinson’s vile act has inspired a number of violent attacks against America’s political right, including another shooting in Indiana.
“Indiana State Police say shots were fired at a truck carrying a ‘Make America Great Again’ flag and an American flag on eastbound I-465 Tuesday.
“Officers believe the shots were fired from a newer white 4-door Chevrolet Malibu with a Louisiana plate near Emerson Avenue around 4 p.m.
“The victim and a witness informed police that the Malibu pulled up next to the pickup truck, a passenger held a handgun out of the window and then a male fired several shots.”
Violence against the right has been steadily increasing in the era of President Trump.
Kathy Griffin, a washed up comedian who was employed by CNN, did a gory photoshoot with a realistic mockup of President Dona’d Trump’s severed head; an homage to ISIS and other terror groups’ preferred symbolic execution style.
Meanwhile, a play in New York City has been steadily losing sponsors and respect after replacing Julius Caeser’s titular character with a facsimile of the President in their production. Of course, in the climax of the theatrical storyline, Caesar, in this case Trump, is assassinated by those close to him. The visage of Trump’s death in the production has been considered disturbing for many who have witnessed the play.
All of these depictions of the death of our President are affecting the left in ways that no one would have predicted. The desensitization to the idea of a dead Commander in Chief has allowed these radical leftists and New Fascists to come out of their shell and act on the impulses they used to relegate whispers after kicking back a few too many PBR’s in their local hipster hangout, away from the prying ears of their barista.
