Michael Cohen Makes Major Move Against POTUS in Plea Deal

Given the vast network of nonsense that we’ve already endured in the case of Robert Mueller’s #RussiaGate investigation, it should come as no surprise that yet another new wrinkle has developed this week.

For years, the left has been insinuating an incredibly offensive concept:  That Donald Trump is somehow Kremlin-connected, and that this fact is the sole reason that he was elected over Hillary Clinton in 2016’s presidential contest.  Of course, this is simply untrue.  Hillary Clinton may very well have been the most corrupt candidate to ever put their hat in the ring and the American people knew it.

Still, the left needs a scapegoat, and, by God, they are going to find one even if it takes scaring the daylights out of former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen in the process.

Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump’s former personal attorney, is in talks to plead guilty to criminal charges in a deal that would bring an end to a months-long investigation that has riled the President, according to sources familiar with the matter.

The details of the plea are still being negotiated, the sources cautioned, and talks could fall apart. The US Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York is investigating Cohen for potential bank fraud, tax fraud and campaign finance violations. If talks fall apart, federal prosecutors are expected to indict Cohen.
As part of the plea deal under discussion, Cohen is not expected to cooperate with the government, one source said. However, by pleading guilty both Cohen and prosecutors would avoid the spectacle and uncertainty of a trial.
Robert Mueller’s tactics have seemed fairly straightforward during this wayward probe, namely in his uncanny knack for pinning process crimes on low-level Trump associates and squeezing until they squirm.
This is a gamble, however, and Mueller certainly understands that.  If Cohen would flip so easily, would he really have found himself in the sort of situation with Donald Trump where he would have learned anything of value to begin with?  Unlikely, given Donald Trump’s instincts.
What Cohen has is anyone’s guess, and we will likely have to wait for the other shoe to drop to find out ourselves.
