Media Campaigns for Hillary on Deplorables Remark

Despite media misgivings, some are using Clinton’s basket of deplorables remark against Trump.

There is evidence that Hillary Clinton’s basket of deplorables is being used successfully for her campaign.

Byron York writes of Wolf Blitzer’s interview with Mike Pence, when he asked him about David Duke:

“Would you call him a deplorable?” Blitzer pressed. “You would call him that?”

“No, I don’t — I’m not in the name-calling business, Wolf.”

So Pence said of Duke: “We don’t want his support, and we don’t want the support of people who think like him.” But that wasn’t enough. Would he use Clinton’s word? And when Pence didn’t — well, look at the coverage that followed:

Pence declines to call Duke ‘deplorable’ — Politico.

Mike Pence refuses to call David Duke ‘deplorable’ — USA Today.

The Trump Campaign should hit back, pointing out that Hillary Clinton included a lot more than David Duke in her Deplorables remark.

So, consider this recent article in the Washington Examiner:

Sen. Tim Kaine’s Catholic bishop in Richmond, Va., has an answer for the Democratic vice presidential pick’s prediction that the Vatican will change its opposition to same sex marriage: Never.

In a statement provided to Secrets, Bishop Francis X. DiLorenzo said, “Marriage is the only institution uniting one man and one woman with each other and with any child who comes from their union. Redefining marriage furthers no one’s rights.”

Hillary, remember, was speaking to an LGBT crowd and included homophobia in her basket of deplorables remark. So Trump should point out, in his not-easy-to-ignore way, that Hillary Clinton thinks the bishop, the Pope, all faithful Roman Catholics, and millions of Bible-believing Evangelicals, are deplorable.

If Hillary responds by saying that she doesn’t believe that they are deplorable, then point out to the people who support her that opposing “gay marriage” is not deplorable bigotry according to Clinton.

Hillary also included xenophobia and Islamophobia in her basket. She was obviously attacking anyone with concerns about border security and terrorism who doesn’t care more about political correctness. This can be used against her.

Make Hillary regret her deplorables remark!
